About The Role
We're seeking an experienced Accountant to join our team and support the Finance Business Partner in delivering effective financial management across our operational departments. This is a 12-month contract - full-time hours.
This is a hands-on role that requires strong financial acumen, clear communication skills, and a proactive mindset. You'll be confident in interpreting and presenting financial data to both finance and non-finance stakeholders, and you'll always be on the lookout for process improvements and value-adding opportunities. Flexibility and a can-do attitude are key, as you'll be ready to tackle tasks both within and beyond your usual scope.
Key Responsibilities
In this role, you'll contribute to a range of core finance activities, including:
* Performing balance sheet reconciliations
* Processing journals and month-end entries
* Maintaining the fixed asset register
* Assisting with month-end and year-end close processes
* Supporting internal and external financial reporting
* Communicating financial insights clearly to stakeholders across the business
About You
We're looking for someone with a strong operational finance background and the following:
* A relevant degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
* Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar role, ideally within engineering, manufacturing, trades, or service-based industries
* Experience working with ERP systems
* Power BI (or similar reporting tools) experience is a plus
