A forward-thinking educational institution is seeking a dedicated and empathetic support worker to assist students aged 16 to 19 with special educational needs.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide one-to-one and small group support to post-16 learners with special educational needs.
* Assist in the delivery of tailored academic and life skills sessions, promoting independence, communication, and self-confidence.
* Collaborate with teachers, SENCOs, and external professionals to meet individual learning goals.
* Monitor and document student progress and wellbeing.
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
* Experience working with students or young adults with SEN (school, college, care or youth setting).
* Patient, adaptable, and supportive approach.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
* Understanding of autism, SEMH, or learning difficulties.
* Awareness of safeguarding and professional boundaries.
