Wallaroo Health Service
Wallaroo is a charming coastal town steeped in rich history and buzzing with vibrant modern attractions. Located just 160 kilometres north of Adelaide, it's the perfect destination for both relaxation and adventure. Renowned for its long, wide northern beaches, Wallaroo is a favourite spot for swimming, fishing, or simply unwinding by the sea. Many visitors find the tranquil atmosphere so welcoming that they often stay longer than planned.
A major highlight is the Wallaroo Jetty, one of South Australia's busiest fishing locations and a hotspot for divers eager to explore the abundant marine life beneath its waters. Anglers and divers alike relish the excellent opportunities this iconic jetty provides.
Adding to the town's maritime charm is a deep-sea port and the thriving Spencer Gulf prawn fleet. Modern developments such as the multi-million-dollar marina and the Spencer Gulf Sea-road Car and Passenger Ferry enhance Wallaroo's role as both a historical gem and a gateway for regional exploration.
In 2022, Wallaroo was proudly recognised as South Australia's Small Tourism Town in the Top Tourism Town Awards, highlighting its growing appeal as a destination for visitors seeking a blend of history, outdoor activities, and seaside relaxation.
