EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES FOR WALLAROO HOSPITAL - REGISTERED NURSES & ENROLLED NURSES

The gorgeous Yorke and Northern region encompassing the Yorke Peninsula and significant areas of the Spencer Gulf and Gulf of St Vincent, Southern Flinders Ranges, and the Mid North of South Australia (SA) all within easy reach of Adelaide.

The Yorke Peninsula, with over 700 kilometres of coastline, boasts stunning beaches and friendly local towns. It is one of SA's most accessible seaside escape locations with breathtaking views and national parks. It is a place to experience fresh seafood from local providers and you'll also find plenty of bakeries, craft breweries and distilleries. Walking trails, diving, surfing, and cycling are just some of the recreational activities the Yorke Peninsula has to offer.

The Yorke and Northern Local Health Network (YNLHN) supports and fosters a culture in which employees feel they belong and feel safe in their work environment. This culture aims to encourage all people to use their talents and to be valued and rewarded for their contributions.

A career in the YNLHN can be very rewarding and comes with great lifestyles benefits. Whether you want to specialise in a particular area like Renal, Emergency, Perioperative, Mental Health or Community Health, we have diverse job prospects and opportunities to fast track your skills and career. Not to mention your choice of scenery from farm to ocean, vineyards, and the Southern Flinders Ranges.

The YNLHN offers our employees access to salary sacrifice arrangements through Smart Salary (watch a short video about what salary packaging is click here) and some areas have access to a remote zone allowance. Wallaroo Health Service

Wallaroo is a charming coastal town steeped in rich history and buzzing with vibrant modern attractions. Located just 160 kilometres north of Adelaide, it's the perfect destination for both relaxation and adventure. Renowned for its long, wide northern beaches, Wallaroo is a favourite spot for swimming, fishing, or simply unwinding by the sea. Many visitors find the tranquil atmosphere so welcoming that they often stay longer than planned.

A major highlight is the Wallaroo Jetty, one of South Australia's busiest fishing locations and a hotspot for divers eager to explore the abundant marine life beneath its waters. Anglers and divers alike relish the excellent opportunities this iconic jetty provides.

Adding to the town's maritime charm is a deep-sea port and the thriving Spencer Gulf prawn fleet. Modern developments such as the multi-million-dollar marina and the Spencer Gulf Sea-road Car and Passenger Ferry enhance Wallaroo's role as both a historical gem and a gateway for regional exploration.

In 2022, Wallaroo was proudly recognised as South Australia's Small Tourism Town in the Top Tourism Town Awards, highlighting its growing appeal as a destination for visitors seeking a blend of history, outdoor activities, and seaside relaxation. Whether you're exploring the historic waterfront, enjoying the beaches, or diving beneath the jetty, Wallaroo offers something for everyone.
