Goulburn Valley Water (GVW) provides quality water and wastewater services to 54 towns in North Central Victoria. Our core purpose is to deliver safe, reliable, and affordable water services to residential, commercial and industrial customers.

An experienced administration professional is required for this busy and varied role where you will be responsible for administrative tasks relating to the approval of water and sewerage services connection procedures and requirements.

Knowledge and experience in plumbing, water and sewerage connections procedures enables you to interpret dwelling site plans and to articulate complex information to diverse audiences.

An exceptional work ethic and strong interpersonal skills enable you to effectively manage customer enquiries, challenging situations and establish professional relationships across the business.

About your new role...

As a customer focused professional with a passion for providing technical support and assistance you will be a welcome and integral member of our technical services department.

You will provide high quality customer support to our customers to assist with their queries relating to asset information and water and sewer connection requirements to GVW water assets.

Primarily your role will be to manage the administrative processes related to water and property connections, ensuring efficient and timely service delivery to our customers in compliance with the Corporation's requirements and other relevant legislation.

This will include:

* Assessment of application for property connection requests
* Responding to customer and trade contacts - in person (counter or onsite), phone, email, website and written correspondence
* Managing invoicing and property agreements
* Backflow requests
* Liaising with planning team for more complex connection requests
* Providing customer contact for fault calls including liaising with other areas of the business


Based at the Shepparton Operations Centre where you will enjoy being part of a working environment amongst technical and operational staff with the bonus of hassle-free parking.

About you...

To be considered for this role you must have demonstrated some of the following:

*
o Certificate 3 or above in Business or a related field and/or minimum 3 year's experience in a similar role
o Knowledge and experience in plumbing, water and sewerage connection procedures and requirements
o Demonstrated commitment, ability and experience in resolving customer enquiries whilst providing a strong customer focus.
o Intermediate computer skills with the ability to learn and adapt to multiple systems including MS Office.
o Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with colleagues and interacting with customers and stakeholders.
o Strong organisational, self-management and problem-solving abilities
o Ability to work independently collaboratively in a team environment.
