Overview
Bridge IT Engineering is seeking a Mission Thread Modelling Specialist for a federal government department with offices in the ACT. This is a 12-month initial contract with up to two 12-month extensions. Location: ACT. Australian Citizenship with NV1 clearance is required.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Undertake System Modelling using the CATIA tool.
- Conduct maintenance and use of the modelling tool and associated library.
- Support the conduct of planning and executing modelling.
- Support the development of associated modelling artefacts and reports/documentation.
- Support the maintenance and development of specified modelling libraries.
- Where directed, undertake modelling training.
- Ability to undertake Model Based Systems Engineering within the CATIA modelling tool.
- Software Engineering/Computer Science degree or equivalent knowledge/experience.
- Experience writing engineering documentation and reports.
- Ability to communicate using System Modelling Language to express engineering concepts and designs to military customers and non-software vendor representatives.
- Experience undertaking systems and/or network modelling.
- Experience in Defence engineering processes or with Defence systems.
Qualifications
- Software Engineering/Computer Science degree or equivalent knowledge/experience.
- Experience writing engineering documentation and reports.
- Ability to communicate engineering concepts and designs to diverse stakeholders.
- Experience with CATIA or similar system modelling tools is desirable.
