An opportunity has become available for several Pharmacy Assistants to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 12 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.
You will
Prepare, distribute and dispense pharmaceuticals under direct supervision 
Assist with inventory management in the pharmacy and in clinical areas 
Assist with the collation and maintenance of pharmacy data 
Liaise effectively with other team members, hospital staff and patients
About you
To be successful in this position you will require: 
Certificate III as a Pharmacy Assistant (Certificate III in Community Pharmacy SIR30116 or Certificate III in Hospital/Health Services Pharmacy Support HLT37115) or an international equivalent 
A certificate of competency in 'HLPTHA001 - Maintain Pharmaceutical Imprest' module as part of a Certificate III in Hospital Pharmacy. Please note: Applicants who do not have a certificate of competency in this module are expected to complete it within 3 months of commencing employment 
Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Hepatitis B 
Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required 
Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed 
Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)

Salary
Temporary full time and temporary part time (several positions, up to 12 months with the possibility of extension, hrs negotiable) 
Base salary ranging from $68 471 - $71 983 per annum or $34.53 - $36.30 per hour

The Pharmacy Service provides medication management services across the Gold Coast Hospital and Health Service, through inpatient units, outpatient clinics and in all facilities where medicines are being utilised for care of patients. This includes Robina Hospital, Gold Coast University Hospital ,Tugun Satellite Hospital, the Robina and Southport Health Precincts, Varsity Lakes Day Hospital, dental vans, mobile units, Palm Beach clinics, Helensvale and Ashmore clinics and the Numinbah Correctional Centre.
