About the role
The Business Analyst is an entry-level role responsible for supporting the accuracy and integrity of product and system data through daily data checks, maintenance of Bills of Materials (BOMs), and contribution to ERP transition activities. You will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to support product development, improve processes, and ensure reliable data for effective business operations.
This role is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented and motivated candidate, ideally a recent graduate or early career professional in Business, IT, Finance, or a related field. This role will suit someone who enjoys working with data, has strong problem-solving skills, and is eager to learn new systems and processes. The ideal candidate will be adaptable, collaborative, and open to developing their technical skills while contributing to process improvements and product development.
Key Responsibilities:
* Perform daily data integrity checks (e.g., inactive items, supplier pricing, product issues, ticketing system).
* Assist with creating and maintaining stock codes and Bills of Materials (BOMs).
* Review BOMs to ensure accuracy and consistency.
* Use SketchUp and other software to confirm product materials and specifications.
* Work with the RDP team to create new products and manage related administration.
* Support ERP transition activities, including data migration, system testing, and assisting inventory, procurement, and finance teams.
* Communicate and collaborate effectively across internal platforms (e.g., Monday, ERP, design systems).
* Assist with renders, CAD files, and other technical outputs as required.
Key Skills & Attributes
* Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, analysis, and data manipulation.
* Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy in data entry and product setup.
* Confidence in Microsoft Office Suite and willingness to learn internal systems.
* Ability to analyse data, review processes, and suggest improvements.
* Strong organisational and time management skills.
* Good communication skills with the ability to collaborate across departments.
* Adaptability and comfort with change, with an open-minded and proactive approach.
* Experience with ERP systems, BOMs, and coding (preferred).
* Knowledge of CAD, SketchUp, and rendering software (preferred).
* Basic understanding of accounting or finance tasks (advantageous).
Experience
* Tertiary qualification in Business, IT, Finance or related field (desirable but not essential).
* Experience in data entry, product administration, or a related role.
* Exposure to ERP systems, system transitions, or implementation projects.
* Familiarity with manufacturing, supply chain, finance, or inventory processes.
* Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and meeting deadlines.
