Salary: RN SRN Level 4 $141,535 (plus 12% superannuation)

Position Overview
This is a full-time appointment (80 hours per fortnight) on a permanent basis. The Clinical Nurse Manager leads the multidisciplinary team on the Mental Health Inpatient Unit, ensuring patient‐centred service and meeting key performance indicators for quality, budget, and human resources. The role involves improving standards, developing solutions, and providing clinical expertise and leadership to internal and external customers.
Responsibilities
* Provide clinical leadership and direction to the multidisciplinary team.
* Ensure the unit meets requirements for delivery of a patient‐centred service against key performance indicators: quality, budget, and human resources.
* Report on unit performance and implement strategies to improve clinical, administrative and financial outcomes.
* Support staff development, performance reviews and succession planning.
* Ensure compliance with the Mental Health Act 2014 (WA) and other relevant legislation.
* Facilitate communication and liaison with stakeholders across the health service.
* Maintain high standards of clinical practice and promote best practice.
Qualifications and Experience
* Registered Nurse, eligible for registration in the category of Registered Nurse by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia.
* Demonstrated significant knowledge, experience and leadership in acute mental health, including application of the Mental Health Act 2014 (WA).
* Experience applying research and best practice principles and quality review processes aligned with the National Safety and Quality Health Services Standards.
* Strong verbal, written, interpersonal and negotiation skills.
* Well‐developed analytical and evaluation skills, providing innovative solutions to complex and sensitive problems.
* Experience in staff performance evaluation and professional development.
* Knowledge of legislative and regulatory requirements in the areas of Equal Opportunity, Disability Services and Occupational Safety & Health.
* Demonstrated commitment to self‐development and the review and development of the performance of team members.
