Job Description
As a Facilities and Security Supervisor at EOS, based in Canberra within the Operations department, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the quality assurance and safety of our facilities. This permanent, full-time position offers a dynamic opportunity to oversee essential aspects of our operations.
Responsibilities
* Supervising and coordinating all activities related to facilities management and security.
* Developing and implementing comprehensive security procedures and protocols to safeguard company assets and personnel.
* Conducting regular inspections of premises to identify maintenance needs and security risks.
* Managing vendor relationships for facility maintenance services, ensuring high standards of workmanship.
* Overseeing access control systems, CCTV surveillance, and alarm monitoring to maintain a secure environment.
* Leading emergency response procedures and training staff on safety protocols.
Main Tasks
* Maintaining a safe and secure environment by establishing and enforcing security policies and procedures.
* Coordinating with external agencies for compliance with regulatory requirements related to facilities management and security.
* Providing leadership in identifying opportunities for continuous improvement in facility operations efficiency.
* Collaborating with cross-functional teams to address facility-related issues proactively.
Desired Skills and Experience
* Proven experience in security management and overseeing facilities operations.
* Demonstrated knowledge of security protocols, risk assessment, and emergency response procedures.
* Strong understanding of health and safety regulations and compliance requirements.
* Experience in developing and implementing security and safety policies.
* Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to mentor and train staff.
* Proficient in conducting security audits, investigations, and incident reporting.
* Ability to collaborate with external agencies, law enforcement, and relevant stakeholders.
* Good communication skills with the capability to liaise with employees at all levels within the organisation.
* Relevant qualifications in security management or a related field would be advantageous.
* Proven ability to manage budgets, procurement processes, and vendor relationships effectively.
