Junior Researcher - Data Scientist Role
The position involves collaborating with international teams and supporting the Data Core for a cutting-edge research program focused on Alzheimer's disease.
This researcher will contribute to developing data assets, data sharing systems, and protocols, statistical analysis plans. They will prepare applications for data access and ethical approvals for datasets.
Main Responsibilities
1. Developing advanced statistical models of cohort studies to identify risk factors and produce individual and population-based estimates.
2. Undertaking high-quality academic research in dementia, cognitive ageing or women's brain health.
3. Collaborating across disciplines and building effective relationships within a team.
4. Preparing scholarly output, such as publications and conference presentations.
5. Participating in conferences and workshops relevant to the project as required.
Requirements
* PhD in Statistics, Quantitative Psychology or a related area.
* Demonstrated skills in longitudinal modelling and data synthesis, including machine learning, regression and GLM.
* Demonstrated track record of publications and conference presentations relevant to the topic of the program of work.
