We are seeking a part-time Kitchen Hand who will join us in our shared responsibility to provide an efficient and friendly delivery of food services to our clients. Must be available to work a 6-day fortnight (Monday, Wednesday & Friday - 7.30am-10.30am). What do we need from you?
• Demonstrated ability to maintain a high standard in food handling in accordance with the food safety and hygiene legislation, regulations and standards, including those specifically relating to the service of food to vulnerable persons.
• Monitor, clean and tidy areas for which the employee is responsible along with general cleaning duties within a kitchen, food preparation area, cold and storerooms, including the cleaning of cooking and general utensils used in the kitchen
• Assemble and prepare food for distribution
• Prepare food to meet special dietary requirements
• Previous experience in a commercial kitchen environment
• Willingness to take direction from others
• Ability to work within a team environment and help other team members to achieve a common goal
• Reliability & commitment to the position
• Good time management skills and the ability to work well under pressure
• Police Check (valid within the last 3 years) - or be willing to get one
• Working rights in Australia
• Food Safety Certificate (desirable)
• Demonstrated knowledge in Workplace Health and Safety and safe manual handling practice
