About this opportunityThe Housing and Accommodation Support Initiative (HASI) is a state wide program that supports people with a severe mental illness to live and recover in the community in the way that they want to.
HASI works in collaboration with Community Mental Health teams to help people identify and work towards meeting recovery goals, and provides psychosocial support to assist in capacity building.As a Rehabilitation and Recovery Worker, you will provide direct, practical support to participants that help them regain, keep, and improve skills, including self-management skills, while also supporting participants to identify and nurture natural supports that sustain recovery.
Essential to sustaining natural supports is that Rehabilitation and Recovery Workers work not just with individuals, but also with families and communities.Rehabilitation and Recovery Workers walk alongside participants, supporting participants to identify their hopes, aspirations and goals, and work together to develop recovery plans that help participants achieve their goals.
Additionally, you will be responsible for daily, weekly and monthly data entry and maintaining file notes, as well as various program documentation such as recovery assessments and plans, risk assessments, referral documentation and more.So what do you need?
Relevant qualifications or commensurate experience in working in a support role for people with a mental illness, generally a tertiary level qualification in Mental Health or Community ServicesCurrent valid Driver's License and the ability to undertake travel for the roleSatisfactory Police Records Check less than 12 months old Working with Children CheckNDIS Worker Orientation Module Certificate - free online courseNDIS Worker Screening CheckWhat Wellways will offer you .
