We are currently seeking a suitably experienced Project Engineer to join our growing team at Cowal. This is a permanent full-time role on a 2 weeks on / 2 weeks off roster.
Duties and Responsibilities:
* Ensure compliance with all Company policies and procedures & statutory requirements.
* Ensure mining physicals are achieved as per contract/client schedules.
* Ensure client requirements are met contractually whilst maintaining a positive and collaborative relationship with the client.
* Use analysis and implementation of cost reduction initiatives.
* Use analysis and implementation of revenue generating initiatives.
* Management of Site Finances.
* Short Term Scheduling of Operations.
* Production Monitoring.
* Monthly performance reporting.
* Quality Assurance programme management.
* Budget preparation.
* Assist in the preparation of monthly claims and interface with the client.
* Deputise for the Mine Foreman when requested.
Minimum Requirements:
* Tertiary degree in Mining Engineering.
* Minimum of 3 years experience in a similar role.
* Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of underground mining operations.
* Ability to communicate and liaise with both employees and client site management.
* Ability to identify potential hazards and minimise risks.
* Ability to schedule labour.
