Senior SAP Business Analyst
Location of work: Melbourne
We are seeking an experienced Senior SAP Business Analyst to join our team at a federal government department in Melbourne.
*Responsibilities*
* Facilitate workshops, interviews and working sessions with stakeholders at all levels
* Develop business process models, current/future state analyses and gap assessments
* Translate business needs into user stories, use cases, process maps and requirements documents
* Prepare high-quality written materials including business cases, reports, presentations and briefing papers
* Work with technical teams and support solution design, testing and implementation to ensure alignment with requirements
* Support the development of test scenarios and test cases, coordinate and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
* Assist with defect triage and resolution and support cutover and go-live activities
*About You*
* Proven experience as a Business Analyst working on SAP projects and/or with strong background in Finance and HR processes and systems
* Minimum 5 years' experience in managing requirements through their lifecycle (e.g. elicitation, traceability, prioritisation, communicating requirement intent, assessing change requests, supporting defect triage and identifying requirements gaps)
* Experience supporting all phases of the project delivery lifecycle from Initiation, Procurement and Tender stages through Execution, Implementation and Transition to Operations
* Experience undertaking discovery, current state business context analysis, and scope definition to support execution planning
* Experience analysing and designing operational business processes and developing business process models
* Demonstrated ability to think critically about business problems, offer solution options, and bring their broad analytical experience (including as-is, to-be and gap analysis)
* Strong communication skills and experiencing working with and influencing a diverse stakeholder group including executive level stakeholders, ICT operations and technical teams
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively within cross-functional teams
* Formal qualifications or certification in Business analysis
* Experience with SAP ECC6 and S/4 HANA implementation or migrations
* Experience using Signavio Process Manager to model system level processes
* Experience in Scrum Master roles co-ordinating agile teams and facilitating agile ways of working
