Full‑Time Motor Mechanic – VOG Rentals & Auto Repairs, Clyde North VIC (1–2/16 Silvretta Court, Clyde North, VIC 3978)
Responsibilities
* Maintain, test, and repair motors and mechanical components of trucks, buses, and other heavy vehicles.
* Detect and diagnose defects in engines and parts.
* Disassemble and remove engine assemblies, transmissions, steering mechanisms, and other components for inspection.
* Repair and replace worn or defective parts, following service manuals as necessary.
* Perform scheduled maintenance services such as oil changes, lubrications, and engine tune‑ups to ensure smooth vehicle operation and compliance with pollution regulations.
* Reassemble engines and parts after repairs.
* Test and adjust mechanical parts post‑repair to guarantee proper performance.
* Utilize computer assistance for diagnosing and testing parts.
* May conduct vehicle inspections and issue roadworthiness certificates or recommend necessary work for roadworthiness.
* May provide assistance in response to vehicle breakdown incidents.
Qualifications
* AQF Certificate III OR
* AQF Certificate IV (ANZSCO Skill Level 3)
* At least two years of on‑the‑job training.
Remuneration and Details
Salary: $70,000 to $80,000 per year plus superannuation.
Job type: Full‑time.
Work location: 1–2/16 Silvretta Court, Clyde North VIC 3978.
