Brisbane Youth Education and Training Centre is a Department of Education school located within the Brisbane Youth Detention Centre at Wacol. Operating 48 weeks a year, Brisbane Youth Education and Training Centre provides a supportive, skills-focused learning environment for young people in detention, helping them build the knowledge, values, and confidence to make positive choices. Working in a multi-agency setting, the school collaborates closely with Youth Justice, Queensland Health, and other partners to support student wellbeing and success. Staff benefit from flexible working arrangements and the opportunity to take leave outside of traditional school holiday periods, with conditions aligned to relevant awards.
Step Into Your Next Chapter:
Lead and manage the school's Information and Communication Technology assets including procurement and disposal
Apply innovative technical solutions and implement leading-edge technologies to meet the unique needs of a detention centre school
Provide a high level of service and issue resolution
Interpret policies and other guideline material relating to the school's Information and Communication Technology operations to ensure the school is working in line with Department expectations

What You Bring:
Expert technical knowledge and experience in the selection, procurement, and installation of new hardware and software, and an ability to maintain and enhance existing systems.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to provide expert technical advice and support to school staff are required.
