Our organization is dedicated to helping young people overcome challenges in mental health, wellbeing, and employment. We provide various services including suicide prevention, child protection, and domestic/family violence support.
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced professional to join our Transition to Work Team in a local area. This role involves providing case management, helping young people address vocational and non-vocational barriers to employment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Conduct individual assessments and provide referrals to specialist assistance services.
* Develop and deliver group activities and workshops to build vocational and life skills.
* Collaborate with the young person to set goals addressing non-vocational barriers.
* Develop individual case plans, outlining goals and monitoring progress against the plan.
* Conduct case conferencing with the job placement coach to ensure a unified approach.
* Advocate for the young person and challenge the status quo.
* Engage with the community to secure referrals and support for our clients.
Requirements:
* Certificate IV in Youth Work or related discipline.
* Minimum two years of experience in a similar role.
* Proven experience delivering effective case management to disengaged young people.
* Ability to develop strategies to overcome employment challenges for disadvantaged youth.
* Demonstrated skill in delivering workshops and group facilitation.
* Strong communication, interpersonal and networking skills.
* Proficiency in technology and systems administration.
* Unrestricted Australian driver's licence.
