We are seeking a skilled Transmission Line Project Engineer to deliver technical excellence in power delivery projects. The ideal candidate will possess strong project execution skills and expertise in transmission line engineering.
The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing technical aspects and deliverables for transmission line design projects using industry-standard software. This includes coordinating the preparation of construction release packages, structure load trees, and bills of material.
The role also involves assigning tasks and providing guidance to junior team members, as well as coordinating quality control reviews. Additionally, the candidate will identify and implement learning opportunities for EITs and Designers through methods such as job shadowing and knowledge sharing.
Quality control reviews of projects from other teams will also be a key responsibility. Furthermore, the successful candidate will provide engineering input on project design issues and questions.
To be successful in this role, candidates must have a Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, or related field) and hold a Professional Engineer (PE) license. Previous experience in project execution within the Power Market Sector is also required.
Candidates should be proficient in Microsoft Office and standard Power Market Sector design software. A background in interpreting and applying industry design codes is also essential.
Additionally, a 4+ year track record of transmission line engineering experience in the electric utility and/or renewables industry is preferred. Experience with PLS-CADD, analysis of transmission structures, and preparation of specifications and drawings is also highly valued.
