About the Role
Join the Department of Education, South East Region as the AO4 Corporate Services Officer to:
- Undertake business, data management and corporate service activities to achieve the outcomes of the business unit, and
- Provide administrative services across the business unit and participate in the implementation of regional priorities and initiatives.
The Corporate Services Officer is part of the 20-person Business and Communications Unit within Regional Services for the South East Regional Office. A function of the position will be to work closely with the Student Wellbeing Team to support Senior Advisors Psychology (HP5), Senior Advisors Social Work (PO5), the Senior Corporate Services Officer and the Manager Regional Services in recruitment, planning, data tracking and reporting, and high-level administrative support for the rollout of the Student Wellbeing Package (Wellbeing Workforce).
The responsibilities of the Corporate Services Officer include:
- Provide support with the delivery of human resources including recruitment and selection, induction and separation, in consultation with schools.
- Provide support with the delivery of financial activities, including procurement, purchasing, grants allocation and budget expenditure.
- Assist in the planning and implementation of regional priorities and initiatives that support the streams of work within the business unit.
- Coordinate, administer and support communication activities associated with regional priorities and initiatives.
- Manage the preparation and dissemination of reports, spreadsheets, presentations, planning documentation and correspondence.
- Undertake a variety of committee support activities, including providing support for meetings and preparing agendas, papers and minutes.
- Develop, maintain and enhance administrative systems, processes and procedures, including records management.
- Communicate confidently with internal and external stakeholders, structuring written and oral communication to ensure clarity, and respond to all enquiries in a courteous manner and within appropriate timelines.
- Other suitable duties (such as supervising administration officers), consistent with the duties and responsibilities of the position as directed by the supervisor or nominated delegate.
