We are looking for skilled civil construction workers to join our team at the Stroud Works Depot. If you have experience in the industry and enjoy hands‑on work, this is a great opportunity to contribute to local infrastructure projects.
Responsibilities
* Carry out maintenance and construction of roads, bridges, and drainage.
* Perform traffic control duties when required.
* Operate minor plant equipment such as chainsaws, wacker packers, and concrete saws.
* Operate plant equipment (trucks, rollers, tractors, slashers, watercarts) while following environmental and safety procedures.
Qualifications
* Current NSW Class HR Driver's Licence (or willingness to obtain within the first 3 months of employment).
* WorkCover‑accredited Construction Induction Card (White Card).
* Solid knowledge of Work Health & Safety.
* Experience and knowledge of the civil construction industry.
* Willingness to obtain an approved Traffic Controller's Card and implement traffic control plans.
We're looking for reliable, practical people who can work as part of a team and aren't afraid of physical work.
Pre‑employment medical check required (drug and alcohol test, sight and hearing, functional and medical component).
Salary: Commencing salary package range circa $55,910 to $61,510 p.a. plus superannuation (dependent on skills and experience).
Location: Upon commencement your normal place of work will be the MidCoast Council Depot located on Briton Court Road, Stroud 2425. You may also be required to be based from other Council sites across the MidCoast Council region.
Tenure: Permanent, Full Time.
