Culinary Role
We are seeking a highly motivated Part Time - Food Service Team Member to join our welcoming team providing the highest quality food service for our guests at our Canberra Domestic Lounges.
Job Description
* Main Responsibilities:
* Prepare, cook and serve food for the breakfast buffet showcasing variety and flair.
* Maintain strict stock rotation and minimize wastage by following stock control procedures.
* Assist in the preparation of ingredients, which includes chopping, slicing, dicing, and measuring food products.
* Ensure adherence to Food Safety protocols.
* Keep all working areas clean and tidy. The successful candidate is required to wash all dishes during service.
* Ensure all equipment is properly maintained, serviced, and cleaned.Report any issues to the Head Chef.
Required Skills and Qualifications
* Proven experience as a Cook in a high-volume kitchen environment.
* Experience and knowledge working in mass production and large volumes.
* Strong culinary skills and a passion for delivering exceptional food experiences.
* Able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
* Flexibility to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
* Culinary degree or equivalent qualification an advantage but not essential.
* Demonstrated knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations.
* Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
* MUST have full working rights within Australia.
* Able to commit to a Full Time contract.
* Ability to pass a federal police background security check.
