Key Responsibilities
* Implement a high-quality, challenging academic program that meets or exceeds requirements of the Missouri Learning Standards Grade-Level Expectations.
* Sustain a joyous learning culture in class, reflecting CWCKC's social-emotional learning focus and contributing to the broader school environment.
* Observe, reflect, and assess student growth and development, individually and across grade levels, to ensure awareness, skills development, and appreciation of elective subjects.
* Contribute to the completion of student progress reports and assist with scheduling changes throughout conference week.
* Support school programming and processes as assigned, and participate in professional development activities to enhance teaching practices.
* Maintain respectful, sensitive, and effective communication with students, colleagues, and other stakeholders, demonstrating high-level professionalism.
Required Skills and Qualifications
* A bachelor's degree (master's preferred) and appropriate Missouri Teacher Certification.
* Experience working with diverse populations, including English language learners and students with special needs.
* Organizational skills to manage a student-centered learning environment, incorporating age-appropriate, culturally-responsive management practices.
* Ability to work with students in a caring and respectful manner, creating a joyful classroom environment that fosters community building, conflict resolution, skill-building, and empowering students for positive social change.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a desire to collaborate with colleagues to develop a strong school community.
* Willingness to explore additional school responsibilities and adapt to changing needs.
