The Opportunity
We're looking for a Product Specialist to play a key role in the end‐to‐end development and ongoing management of our insurance products. Working closely with the Head of Product and Chief Insurance Officer, you'll lead product documentation, benefit and rule design, market analysis, and launch readiness to ensure products are customer‐focused, compliant, and commercially sound.
This is a hands‐on role for someone who enjoys translating strategy and insights into high‐quality product artefacts that are ready to go live, audit‐ready, and easy for partners and teams to use.
What you'll be doing
* Draft, review and maintain product documentation including PDSs, schedules, endorsements, FAQs, summaries and training materials
* Manage version control and approvals, ensuring accuracy, clarity and alignment with pricing intent and underwriting rules
* Design and refine benefits, eligibility rules, sub‐limits and exclusions using portfolio, pricing and claims insights
* Balance customer outcomes, operational practicality and commercial objectives
* Conduct regular competitor and market reviews
* Provide evidence‐based insights to inform the product roadmap and simplification or enhancement initiatives
Delivery readiness & UAT
* Lead product impact assessments across Pricing, Claims, Operations, Technology, Distribution and Legal & Compliance
* Support UAT scope and test case design and coordinate business sign‐off ahead of go‐live
Partner enablement & launches
* Prepare partner‐ready product packs for tenders, launches and enhancements
* Support partner onboarding and change delivery to agreed timelines and quality standards
Governance & compliance
* Contribute to Target Market Determination (TMD) inputs
* Ensure products remain aligned with DDO requirements and internal governance expectations with audit‐ready traceability
* Track simple product KPIs such as documentation accuracy, change cycle times and partner feedback
* Capture lessons learned to improve templates, checklists and processes
About you
* 5+ years' experience in general insurance, ideally in a product development or product management role (travel insurance highly regarded)
* Strong experience drafting PDSs and designing product rules and benefits
* Confident working with Legal & Compliance, Pricing, Claims, Operations, Commercial and external partners
* Excellent written and verbal communication with strong attention to detail
* Analytical, organised and comfortable juggling multiple priorities
Qualifications
* Degree in Business, Commerce, Law or a related discipline
* Product governance or regulatory training highly regarded
