Job Description
Our client, a leading global financial services technology provider with operations in 35+ countries and Fortune **** clients, is seeking an experienced Virtualisation Administrator to join their Global Infrastructure team.
The role focuses on the transition from VMware to OpenShift, ensuring high availability and optimal performance of virtualised environments.
Key responsibilities include deploying, configuring, and maintaining VMware and OpenShift Virtualisation clusters on-premises, monitoring performance, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring optimal operation and high availability.
Additionally, you will manage user access, permissions, and implement security best practices for containerised applications, collaborate with development and engineering teams to optimise applications running on OpenShift, and lead conversions from VMware to OpenShift Virtualisation and manage existing VMware environments.
Required Skills and Qualifications
* 2+ years' experience as an OpenShift Virtualisation Administrator or similar infrastructure role
* Strong understanding of OpenShift Virtualisation, Kubernetes architecture, and containerised environments
* Knowledge of networking concepts and configurations in virtualised environments
* Problem-solving ability under pressure with excellent communication and collaboration skills
* OpenShift, RedHat, or VMware certifications are advantageous
