Are you ready to take the lead on meaningful heritage projects that shape our built environment? We're looking for a passionate and skilled professional to independently manage heritage and conservation projects—delivering exceptional outcomes for clients, on time and within budget.
In this role, you'll apply your deep understanding of heritage legislation, ICOMOS Charters, and building conservation principles to prepare assessments, offer expert advice, and produce high-quality heritage and conservation reports. While you'll have the support of senior leadership, you'll enjoy the autonomy to drive projects forward and make a real impact.
We are seeking both part time and full-time applications for an initial 6-month fixed term arrangement with a view to offer permanent employment.
Our team is based in our Subiaco office and whilst we do offer all our employees Hybrid working arrangements this is a requirement for this role to attend our office or client offices on part days of the week. There may also be some travel required within WA regions from time to time.
About You
•Undergraduate Degree in Urban/Regional Planning, Architecture, Archaeology, History, or any heritage related role
•5+ years’ experience in a heritage related role or other related experience
•Post-Graduate Degree in Heritage Management or similar or applicable relevant experience
•Sound understanding of the Western Australian planning system, with reference to Heritage legislation
•Good understanding of the ICOMOS Charters and the application of building conservation principles
•Experience in managing and delivering heritage related projects with multiple competing stakeholders including budgets and deliverables
•Consultancy and/or client management experience, including the ability to negotiate outcomes with key stakeholders and manage expectations
•Registered Architect or the possibility to be eligible for registration in future would be desirable but not essential for this position.
