- Hewitt was born from the integration of separate businesses that were each focused on one part of the supply chain, coming together to become a fully integrated protein production and supply company. - Reporting to the Group Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director, the Group CFO will _lead the finance function at Hewitt to ensure effective accounting and finance strategies are in place to maximise shareholder value. This will include leading the finance strategy development and execution, accounting, tax, valuations, risk management, audit, governance and compliance. _
**The Position**:
- Develop sound and practical financial strategies to support the growth of the Hewitt Group of companies in Australia and the USA;
- Liaise with shareholders on funding requirements and ensure appropriate documentation is prepared to manage equity draw downs in accordance with shareholder deed funding requirements;
- Manage all aspects of the accounting, financial reporting, budgeting and financial planning, as well as cash and treasury, and cost reporting and analysis at Hewitt companies;
- Ensure robust risk mitigation policies and procedures are in place to ensure effective management and control in all finance areas;
- Provide advice and counsel to the Group CEO and the Board in relation to financial performance, budgeting, financial position and future cash flow requirements;
- Develop effective financial models for budgeting purposes to support planning and performance initiatives;
- Develop effective strategies to ensure the Hewitt has systems that capture, record and systemize financial information in a uniform, efficient and fit-for-purpose manner across all businesses;
- Manage all aspects of foreign investment and foreign exchange transactions, including transfer pricing;
- Work closely with all stakeholders to ensure due diligence support for the global business across all M&A activity; and
- Share vision for digital transformation, roll-out and ongoing inputs to ensure systems and reporting are designed to support significant growth.
**The Person**:
- Proven success in a CFO role, or similar in an integrated supply chain, manufacturing, or agribusiness environment;
- Hands-on experience in the development of a robust and successful financial strategy to support significant growth initiatives within a vertically integrated business;
- Tech savvy, with expertise in modelling;
- Successful track record in the leadership and management of a diverse and remote finance team essential;
- Demonstrated capacity to understand financials, and effectively manage all aspects of a strategic finance function;
- Demonstrated expertise in M&A and the consolidation of financial systems across merged entities;
- Experience in leading group reporting functions across Australian and overseas entities; with exposure to Shareholder loans, foreign investment and dealing with FX transactions;
- An understanding of US GAAP and SOX highly regarded; and
- Depth of understanding of food production, processing businesses, both from a FUM and operational management perspective.
**Education**
- Formal qualifications in an accounting related discipline;
- CA/CPA;
- Post graduate qualifications in business or finance an advantage.
