Academic Leadership Role
We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic academic leader to join our school community as the Head of Department.
This is a pivotal role in shaping and driving our teaching and learning strategies, with a particular commitment to direct explicit instruction and the science of learning.
The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing our pedagogical model across the department, ensuring that all students are afforded the opportunities and support necessary to thrive both academically and personally.
Maintaining high standards of teaching and learning
Fostering an environment of inclusivity and excellence
The Head of Department will apply the latest findings in cognitive science and instructional design to help students navigate their educational journey, achieve their aspirations, and access their preferred future.
Bachelor's degree in education and current registration with the relevant teaching authority
Demonstrated curriculum knowledge and effective delivery of teaching and learning programs
Strong skills in the use of information and communication technologies (ICT)
Commitment to co-curricular activities
Basic understanding of the principles of the science of learning and explicit instruction
