Overview
Own delivery of AI-enabled digital products at scale. We are seeking a Director of Product Engineering to take full ownership of delivering AI-enabled digital products in a regulated healthcare environment. Reporting directly to the CTO, this is a hands-on, execution-led leadership role with clear accountability for outcomes and a defined pathway to broader executive responsibility. This role is suited to a leader who enjoys building teams, shipping products, and owning delivery in complex, mission-critical settings.
The Role
You will build, lead, and run a modern product and engineering function responsible for delivering long-lived digital capabilities used by clinicians, staff, and patients. These are not one-off projects. They are products that must be delivered, adopted, operated, and improved over time. You will work closely with the CTO and senior leaders to understand priorities, then take ownership of delivery, including how teams are structured, how work is sequenced, and how outcomes are achieved.
Responsibilities
* Build and lead a multidisciplinary product and engineering organisation;
* Own end-to-end delivery across multiple healthcare digital products;
* Deliver practical AI and automation embedded into clinical and operational workflows;
* Establish strong delivery discipline and modern engineering practices;
* Balance speed, quality, security, and compliance in a regulated healthcare environment;
* Challenge vendors, delivery partners, and technical decisions when required; and
* Work within architectural guardrails while maintaining delivery momentum.
Qualifications
Essential
* Senior experience leading product and engineering delivery in healthcare or regulated sectors;
* Strong engineering background with accountability for delivery outcomes;
* Proven experience delivering AI-enabled digital products into production;
* Experience building and scaling teams through periods of change; and
* Comfortable operating under pressure in a highly visible role.
Desirable
* Experience in clinical, care delivery, or health technology environments;
* Exposure to safety-critical or sensitive data platforms; and
* Experience working alongside architecture, security, and transformation functions.
Why Join
* Direct access to the CTO with real decision-making authority;
* Clear ownership and accountability, not advisory responsibility;
* Opportunity to build a modern healthcare product engineering function;
* Work on digital products with real-world impact on care and outcomes; and
* Competitive senior-level compensation and benefits.
If you are a product and engineering leader who prefers owning delivery over talking about it, we would like to hear from you.
