Downer has been awarded a major Integrated Facilities Management contract with Stockland, delivering services across a national portfolio of commercial offices, retail centres, logistics facilities and land lease communities. This long-term partnership reflects Downer's strength in managing large, complex portfolios and delivering high quality services at scale.
Commencing in August, we currently have an opportunity for Cleaning Supervisors to join our workforce and play a key role in supporting the effective and efficient management of properties across Stockland's national portfolio, located at Merrylands Town Centre, Merrylands. Reporting to the Facilities Manager, you'll help deliver high-quality outcomes for our client and our communities.
Responsibilities
* Manage times to ensure all cleaning duties are completed within required deadlines
* Ensure cleaning programs are implemented based on approved systems and techniques
* Assist with the maintenance and coordination of the department's activities and functions such that outcomes are achieved constantly
* Care and maintenance of all cleaning equipment
* Provide direction, guidance and leadership to ensure that staff present themselves, their equipment and the department to the highest standards
* Follow health and safety procedures while completing tasks efficiently and maintaining a professional approach
Qualifications
* 2–5 years commercial cleaning or professional cleaning experience
* Ability to maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene
* Knowledge of safe use of cleaning equipment and chemicals (use of polishers, scrubbers and buffers highly desirable)
* Understanding of workplace health and safety and basic sanitation practices
* Good time management skills and ability to work independently
* Ability to follow procedures, communicate effectively, and report issues as required
* Certificate II or III Cleaning or Health Support Services, or Certificate IV Cleaning Management – desirable
* Working with Children Check or willingness to obtain
* Prepared to undertake necessary pre-employment checks including National Police Check and medical
