Kanda is looking for a detail-oriented Payroll Officer to join our team full-time in Rockhampton (or Bundaberg). In this role, you’ll be responsible for delivering precise and accurate payroll processing for Corporate and Support Staff, ensuring compliance with relevant awards and statutory obligations.
You’ll collaborate with a dispersed team of Payroll Officers and internal stakeholders to ensure payroll is processed accurately and on time, supporting both operational requirements and a positive employee experience.

Key Responsibilities
* Deliver end-to-end payroll processing for Corporate and Support Staff in line with relevant awards
* Handle payroll variations including advances, WorkCover, parental leave, and terminations
* Prepare and reconcile payroll obligations including wages, PAYG, and superannuation
* Respond to payroll and leave enquiries, providing timely and accurate support
* Support reporting, compliance checks, and end-of-month payroll activities
* Assist with broader finance and administrative tasks as required
About You
* Proven experience in high-volume payroll processing within a complex environment
* Strong knowledge of MYOB and confidence using Microsoft Office and web-based systems
* Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
* High attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
* Hold a Working with Children Check (Blue Card) or willingness to obtain
