Senior Laboratory Technician / Laboratory Supervisor - Construction Materials Testing

Chadwick Geotechnics is seeking a motivated and technically skilled Senior Laboratory Technician / Laboratory Supervisor to support our field and laboratory testing operations across the Sunshine Coast to Brisbane corridor.
You will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality construction materials testing, maintaining NATA accreditation, and mentoring junior staff.
What You'll Be Doing
* Actively deliver and perform a range of geotechnical and construction materials tests.
* Ensure compliance with ISO/IEC 17025 and NATA quality systems.
* Participate in internal and external audits and proficiency programs.
* Lead and train junior technicians, fostering a culture of accuracy and integrity.
* Maintain, calibrate, and troubleshoot laboratory equipment.
* Liaise with field and project teams to ensure timely sample handling and reporting.
* Promote a strong safety-first culture in all work practices.
What You'll Bring
* Minimum 5-7 years' experience as a NATA-authorised signatory in CMT or geotechnical testing.
* Diploma of Laboratory Technology or equivalent tertiary qualification.
* Sound knowledge of Australian standards and Queensland TMR test methods.
* Experience supervising teams or mentoring junior staff in a laboratory setting.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Valid Driver's Licence, Construction Induction Card (White Card), and PDMG Licence desirable.
