At BioCina Perth we manufacture lifesaving medicines. These medicines help Australian patients and their families, but we also ship them to 98 other countries around the globe.
Our factory here in Bentley, PERTH W.A. has multiple sterile liquid filling lines, and automated downstream packaging equipment that utilizes a wide range of automation systems including collaborative robots; advanced vision systems; labellers, cartoners and palletisers. These all need to be supported by a secure infrastructure including boilers, HVAC, stills, Building Management Systems and compressors.
Underpinning all of these systems is a highly trained team of technicians that work within the required GMP framework, to the highest safety standards to ensure the patients we support are getting the highest quality product.
We are looking for technically competent candidates that have experience working within a process driven manufacturing environment that want to advance their skill sets.
You will play a critical part in undertaking both the requisite planned maintenance activities, troubleshooting/resolving breakdowns and also deploying best-practice long term solutions to increase reliability.
You are recognized as a subject matter expert with specialized knowledge and skills in procedures, techniques, tools, materials and equipment. You will be entrusted with adapting standard methods and procedures by applying your knowledge, prior work experience and requirements. You will arrive at decisions on which methods and procedures are the best fit for different work situations.
Candidates will be required to work within our existing team of mechanical/electrical skilled technicianson a rotating 12 hour day/night shift-roster.
Candidates must have full Australian working rights.
We are seeking interested applicants from anywhere in Australia, New Zealand and the United Kingdom and Ireland.
To be successful you must possess:
5+ years work experience as aMechanical Fitteror an Electrician with A Grade license
Experience with automation equipment and utilities within a process environment.
Demonstrated well-developed fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
Well-developed time management and problem-solving skills.
The ability to work in a small team without close supervision.
Customer focus with good communication skills.
Be physically fit.
Further experience in any of the following areas will provide you with a distinct advantage:
Trade Certificate in Mechanical or Maintenance Fitting
Restricted electrical license.
Working in a GMP environment, including clean rooms.
Computerized maintenance management systems.
Robotic systems and packaging equipment
Experience of condition-based monitoring.
Instrumentation and calibration.
Applicants are required to undertake a pre-employment medical examination to meet the inherent requirements of the role. These requirements include but are not limited to visual acuity, colour vision deficiency, skin conditions and manual handling capacity.
