As the Senior Project Officer, you will be responsible for managing ICT projects and operational activities that directly support annual rates processing and annual land and stock census activities. These are business-critical cycles with fixed statutory deadlines, high data volumes and strong compliance requirements.
You will work at the intersection of ICT, finance and operational business areas, ensuring systems, data and processes are accurate, validated and fit for purpose. This role suits someone who understands transactional systems, data flows and reconciliations, and who can manage risk in high-pressure delivery environments.
About the TeamLocal Land Service (LLS) is a regional-focused NSW Government agency delivering quality customer services to farmers, landholders and the wider community. We help people make better decisions about the land they manage and assist rural and regional communities to be profitable and sustainable into the future.
The role sits within Digital & Data Team supporting the governance, operation and improvement of business-critical financial and census systems that enable core service delivery.
Your day-to-day dutiesManage and deliver ICT projects that support annual rates processing and land and stock census activitiesCoordinate internal teams and external vendors during time-critical annual cyclesSupport the end-to-end operation of transactional and financial system processesMonitor data quality, system integrity and validation resultsDevelop and maintain project tracking and reporting toolsIdentify, assess and manage project, operational and data risksAct as the key liaison between business stakeholders, Digital & Data team and vendorsSupport the effective governance and use of financial and rural management systems
To be successful in this role you’ll needExperience delivering ICT or system-enabled projects supporting financial or regulatory processesUnderstanding of annual processing cycles and reconciliationsExperience with data validation, verification and issue resolutionStrong stakeholder engagement skillsExperience using Excel, SQL, BI tools or similar
Essential requirementsRelevant degree qualification or equivalent experienceA current NSW driver licence combined with the willingness and ability to travel across NSW (including overnight stays if required) is also required.
