Goodwin Aged Care Services is seeking an experienced Workers’ Compensation Specialist to join our People and Culture team.
In this role, you will manage injury management and return-to-work across multiple sites, ensuring employees receive the right support while enabling safe and timely return to work.
You will work closely with injured employees, managers, insurers and medical providers to ensure best practice claims management and compliance with workers’ compensation legislation.
This role will suit an experienced injury management or RTW professional who enjoys partnering with leaders to achieve positive recovery outcomes and improve injury management practices.
About the Role
As the Workers’ Compensation & Injury Management Specialist, you will coordinate the end-to-end management of workplace injury cases and provide expert guidance to managers and employees throughout the recovery process.
You will play an important role in ensuring that injury management practices are effective, compliant and focused on supporting employee wellbeing and sustainable return-to-work outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage workers’ compensation and injury management claims and cases from notification through to return to work.
* Coordinate return-to-work programs and suitable duties plans in consultation with injured workers, managers and rehabilitation providers.
* Provide specialist advice to managers and employees on workers’ compensation and injury management.
* Liaise with insurers, rehabilitation providers and treating practitioners to support recovery outcomes.
* Facilitate case conferences and return-to-work meetings.
* Monitor claims performance and provide regular reports to management.
* Maintain accurate documentation and reporting in incident and injury management systems.
* Ensure compliance with ACT and NSW Workers’ Compensation legislative requirements.
* Analyse injury and workers’ compensation data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement and preventions strategies.
About You
You are an experienced injury management or workers’ compensation professional who is confident managing claims and working collaboratively with managers, employees and external providers to achieve positive recovery outcomes.
You will bring:
* Demonstrated experience managing workers’ compensation claims and return-to-work programs.
* Strong understanding of workers’ compensation legislation and injury management practices.
* Experience coordinating suitable duties programs and recovery plans
* Ability to liaise effectively with insurers, rehabilitation providers and medical practitioners
* Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
* Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple claims simultaneously
* Professional judgement and the ability to manage confidential and sensitive matters
Desirable
* Qualification in Return-to-Work Coordinator (RTW, injury management, rehabilitation, or a related field.
* Medical or Allied Health qualification.
* Experience working within the aged care sector or other highly regulated environments.
