About the role:
Applications are sought for the 2026 clinical year for a period of one year with possible extension. To be eligible to apply for this position you must be PGY3+ from February 2026.

Canberra Health Services recruits Senior Resident Medical Officers (SRMO) to the ACT Network which includes Canberra Hospital, North Canberra Hospital, University of Canberra Hospital, Goulburn Base Hospital, Moruya Hospital, Cooma Hospital and South-East Regional Hospital (Bega). All SRMOs may be allocated rotations within the ACT Network.
The ACT operates a four-term clinical year. Over the course of a year, the role will consist of two-terms in a service / relief role and two-rotations in an area of your individual preference. The successful applicant will be able to provide preferences for the non-service rotation during the interview process, and these will be assigned on a merit basis.
Prior to commencement, the successful candidates will be required to:
* Undergo a pre-employment National Police Check
* Comply with Canberra Health Services Occupational Assessment, Screening and Vaccination policy
