Reporting to the Project Director, this position will provide planning support and advice to Operations and Project teams, including providing the project teams with assistance to complete works in accordance with the contract documentation and Decmil standards and procedures.

Core Responsibilities
* Assist the project teams in completing works in accordance with contract documentation and Decmil standards and procedures.
* Produce preliminary tenders project programs in accordance with the procedures and tender documentation.
* Assist the project team in compiling contractual claims as required.
* Effective short and long-term plans whilst facilitating the ongoing maintaining, coordinating, and monitoring of the design, procurement, and construction.
* Demonstrated ability to facilitate project targets and produce mitigation plans as required.
* Assist in the provision of key planning and programme status with regards to progress, time, cost, and contractual issues.
* Advise on project planning and programming requirements to suit requirements.
* Liaise with the project and client stakeholders.
* Liaise with the pre-tender staff to produce a preliminary project programme in accordance with procedure.
* On the issue of the contract, review the preliminary project programme to ensure compliance with the contract documents and procedures.
* Reporting to the Project Leadership team on the planning and programming for the project.
* Ensure data integrity for reporting through the provision of regular status updates.
* Demonstrate a commitment to on-site safety and environmental control by ensuring compliance with project risk analysis.
* Throughout the construction phase review, assess the project programme and mark changes as required.
* Working with the project leadership team to identify the format, level of frequency of reporting and recording of systems for planning and programming on the project.
Key Requirements
* Tertiary Qualifications in Engineering.
* 5 years' experience in the Construction or Resource industry with at least 3 years working for a Contractor.
* Competent in managing a variety of Planning functions.
* Strong problem‐solving and ability to research innovative ways to reduce costs.
* Proficient in MS Office suite and Primavera.
* High level of communication, written and verbal, with strong relationship‐building and negotiation skills.
* Valid Australian driver's license, national police clearance and full Australian working rights.
