WA Public School Jobs is seeking to establish a pool of Teacher – Science - Biology for permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2026 school year. Appointments may be offered at any time for vacancies that commence during this period.
Note: This position is being advertised as part of a recruitment pilot designed to simplify the application process for teachers. A mandatory CV template is provided for use. Suitable applicants will ideally be motivated teachers, passionate about shaping students’ futures. They should possess excellent knowledge of the Western Australian Curriculum and a repertoire of teaching strategies to engage students, ideally with knowledge of and experience in a range of instructional strategies and tactics. Strong knowledge and skills in delivering Year 11 and 12 Australian Tertiary Admission Rank (ATAR) Biology would be advantageous. As reflective practitioners, suitable applicants will possess effective data literacy knowledge and skills and a capacity to modify their practice to meet identified student needs. The capacity to engage in the development and implementation of innovative classroom practices, including integration of information technology into the curriculum, will be highly regarded.
In addition, suitable applicants work as part of a dedicated team to develop, review and deliver the science curriculum to ATAR level. They should engage in 21st Century learning practices and share these practices with their colleagues.
Suitable applicants would provide excellence in creating and maintaining a supportive and safe learning environment. They should ideally provide educational opportunities and activities which enable students to achieve their highest potential, recognising students as individuals and fostering opportunities for all students to develop into effective young adults.
The College has newly installed a state-of-the-art Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) facility. The capacity to engage in the development and implementation of innovative classroom practices relating to the STEM facility will be highly regarded.
