The Skills for Study lecturer's primary role is to support the vocational lecturer in the delivery of quality training.
To be suitable for the role you will have a proven track record in successful teaching with additional specialist lecturing of literacy and numeracy in adults would highly advantageous.
You must have at least five years' experience lecturing literacy and/or numeracy or industry vocation to groups of learners.Lecturers will also be required to undertake Professional Activities and Activities Related to Delivery.Relevant Qualification and ExperienceTo be eligible for employment applicants must hold or have equivalent to the below specifications.Language, literacy, numeracy and digital skillsA primary or secondary teaching degree which enables registration with the WA Teachers Registration Board.ORa post graduate specialisation in the following:Master of Education (TESOL)Graduate Diploma of Adult Language, Literacy and Numeracy PracticeOther post-graduate LLND specialisation as deemed suitable by Quality Managers.Minimum of 5 years lecturing LLNDAND/ORVocational skillsMinimum of 5 years lecturing in vocational areaProven record of successful teaching.Demonstrated ability to contribute to an inclusive and supportive learning setting.It is preferred that candidates already possess the minimum credentials required for trainers and assessors to deliver accredited vocational education and training (VET), as stipulated at 1.14 of theStandards for Registered Training Organisations (RTOs) 2015 or can demonstrate progression towards a relevant qualification.Applicants must hold an equivalent of, or be working towards the current TAE40122 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment prior to appointment, irrespective of holding other adult education qualifications.Find out about South Regional TAFE please visit our website to applyPlease ensure you review the Job Description Form (attached to the advert on Jobs WA) for further information about the requirements of the position.
