Due to continued growth and an expanding pipeline of projects, we are seeking an Estimator / Scheduler to join our team and play a key role in supporting the successful delivery of our renovation projects.
About the Role
This role is ideal for someone with strong construction knowledge who enjoys the analytical and organisational side of the building process.
You will be responsible for preparing project estimates, coordinating trade pricing, and assisting with project scheduling and procurement to ensure our projects run efficiently from pre‐construction through to completion.
You will work closely with the Director, project managers, designers and trades to ensure budgets, timelines and procurement are aligned.
Key Responsibilities
* Prepare detailed cost estimates for residential renovation projects
* Review plans, specifications and scopes of work
* Obtain and assess subcontractor and supplier pricing
* Assist with preparation of detailed client quotations and cost breakdowns
* Track and maintain cost databases and supplier pricing
Scheduling & Procurement
* Assist in developing project construction schedules
* Coordinate trade availability and sequencing of works
* Prepare procurement schedules for materials and joinery
* Assist with ordering materials and coordinating deliveries
* Monitor project progress against the construction program
Project Support
* Assist project managers with cost tracking and variations
* Liaise with trades, suppliers and internal team members
* Ensure documentation and project files are maintained accurately
* Support the pre‐construction process from quotation through to commencement
About You
To be successful in this role you will have:
* Experience in residential construction or renovations
* Estimating or scheduling experience (preferred)
* Strong understanding of construction processes and sequencing
* Ability to read and interpret building plans and specifications
* Strong organisational and time management skills
* High attention to detail and accuracy with numbers
* Excellent communication skills with trades and suppliers
* Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and construction software
