A leading financial services organisation is seeking a Finance Systems Functional Technical Analyst to join its Finance Systems team during a live transition from PeopleSoft to Oracle. This role is centred on Oracle Financials and will suit someone who brings strong functional-technical capability, sound experience supporting finance systems in production, and the depth to work across OIC, integrations, interfaces and ongoing system change. Sitting within Finance Systems, this role works across Finance, Technology, vendors and project stakeholders to support the live Oracle environment while the broader transition continues. It is a strong fit for someone who can combine technical problem solving with finance process understanding and operate confidently in a BAU support environment.
The role
You will play a key role in supporting and strengthening the Oracle finance systems environment, including:
* Supporting Oracle Financials in a live production environment
* Managing BAU issues, service requests and system defects with urgency and ownership
* Working across OIC, integrations and interface-related activity
* Supporting upgrades, patching, enhancements and ongoing system maintenance
* Translating business requirements into clear functional and technical documentation
* Supporting testing, UAT, implementation activity and post go-live stabilisation
* Partnering with Finance, Technology and vendors to resolve issues and improve system performance
* Maintaining documentation, operating procedures and change control discipline
* Contributing to knowledge sharing and helping lift Oracle capability across the team
About you
You are a hands‐on finance systems professional with strong Oracle experience, a practical style, and the judgement to work effectively in a complex live environment.
* Strong experience across Oracle finance systems
* A genuine blend of functional and technical capability
* Experience supporting finance systems in BAU / production environments
* Exposure to Oracle implementation, migration or post‐implementation support
* Experience across OIC, integrations, interfaces or related Oracle custom work
* Good understanding of finance modules including GL, AP, AR, billing and reporting
* SQL and debugging capability, with confidence working through issues end to end
* Strong stakeholder skills and the ability to work effectively across Finance and Technology
* A proactive, resourceful approach and the ability to add value quickly
Experience from banking, insurance, superannuation or other complex enterprise environments will be highly regarded. Industry background is flexible. Oracle depth is the priority.
