Communications & Engagement Specialist
to join us and amplify the voice of rural health and strengthen our reputation as a trusted leader in the sector.
This is your opportunity to shape meaningful narratives, influence change, and connect people to our purpose through strategic communications and advocacy.
What You'll Lead
* Design and deliver external communications strategies that build trust and foster engagement
* Drive thought leadership across media, public affairs, stakeholder engagement and advocacy
* Craft compelling content for diverse audiences across media, government, philanthropy and local communities
* Collaborate with teams across the organisation so messages are aligned and impactful
* Produce publications, messaging collateral and digital content that showcase our purpose and achievements
* Plan and coordinate events in person and online to spotlight our research and innovation
* Monitor performance and report on the reach and impact of communications activity
About You
* Tertiary qualifications in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism or equivalent experience.
* Proven experience in designing and implementing communications strategies.
* The ability to build strong stakeholder engagement and guide strategic outcomes.
* Expertise in media relations and crafting proactive/reactive responses.
* Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with content creation experience across multiple platforms.
* Event planning and coordination experience.
* Ability to work independently in fast-paced environments with creativity and sound judgement.
* Experience in the not-for-profit, health, philanthropy or government sectors would be desirable
