About the opportunity
Southern Cross University's Faculty of Health is seeking a Lecturer or Senior Lecturer in Osteopathy. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the education of future Osteopaths, advance your research career, and play a key role in innovative, student focused curriculum development within a supportive academic environment. Your core responsibilities will include:
* Design and deliver high-quality, student-centred teaching across various modes, incorporating innovative practices and learning technologies
* Enhance the student experience through flexible delivery, inclusive pedagogy, and continuous improvement informed by feedback and reflective practice
* Contribute to and lead curriculum development and renewal in alignment with Faculty priorities and discipline-specific needs
* Undertake research and scholarly activities that inform teaching, contribute to the scholarship of learning, and align with the Faculty's research profile
* Actively engage in academic service, mentoring, and leadership, supporting University initiatives, professional development, and external partnerships
About you
You are an enthusiastic educator and health professional who is committed to quality teaching and student success. You bring a solid foundation in Osteopathy practice and a developing academic profile, with a growing engagement in research. More specifically, you will have:
* A PhD or progress towards, in a discipline relevant to Osteopathy, with current unrestricted AHPRA registration and ideally over five years of professional experience as a practicing Osteopath
* Demonstrated capability in tertiary teaching and curriculum development with awareness of accreditation requirements and contemporary educational standards and practices
* Proven ability to design and deliver engaging and flexible learning experiences using blended and online technologies, including interactive digital content
* A developing or established research track record, with publications and experience supervising higher degree research students, appropriate to your academic level
* A strong commitment to equity, workplace health and safety, and cultural diversity
* Additional requirement at Level C - Successful leadership experience in teaching and research, and collaboration with industry partners
Salary and benefits
This is a full-time, continuing position at Academic Level B, or C based at our Gold Coast campus. Generous relocation support is available to those relocating to commence the appointment. The level of appointment will be commensurate with the candidate's qualifications, skills and experience.
* Academic Level B: $110,611 - $130,814 per annum, plus 17% employer's contribution to superannuation. The total remuneration package is up to $153,052.
* Academic Level C: $134,848 - $155,046 per annum, plus 17% employer's contribution to superannuation. The total remuneration package is up to $181,403.
