JOIN OUR TEAM - The Waves Sports Club is on the lookout for a dynamic and experienced Front of House Café Manager (Permanent Position) to lead the day-to-day operations of our café. About the Role:
What you will be doing:
* Leading the front of house team with enthusiasm and professionalism
* Delivering outstanding customer service and ensuring a warm, welcoming atmosphere
* Training, mentoring, and supporting staff to maintain high service standards
* Managing the floor during service to ensure efficiency and flow
* Handling customer feedback and resolving issues with confidence and care
* Collaborating closely with the Back of House and Front of House teams for seamless operations
* Working alongside the Back of House Supervisor to develop and refine menu ideas based on customer feedback and seasonal trends
* Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and food hygiene regulations.
* Handle customer inquiries and complaints in a professional and timely manner.
What We're Looking For:
* Demonstrated experience in café or hospitality operations, with a strong service mindset.
* Barista experience and strong knowledge of coffee highly regarded
* Solid understanding of café operations, POS systems.
* A hands-on attitude, organised, proactive, and solutions focused.
* Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on customer service
* Thorough understanding of food safety and health regulations
* Unrestricted availability to work various shifts, including nights, weekends and public holidays.
* Must have or willing to obtain a Responsible Service of Alcohol Certificate and Food Safety Supervisor Certificate.
