We are seeking a skilled and experienced Resident Field Service Technician to join our team.
Job Description
This role involves providing diagnostic, repair, and maintenance services to customers' equipment on-site. You will be responsible for working autonomously from your home location in Northern Tasmania, providing technical support, conducting basic failure analysis, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
Your work sites must be kept tidy, and all paperwork must be up-to-date. You must conduct your work in compliance with quality and safety standards and procedures.
The Opportunity
* You will have the opportunity to work on construction and mining equipment, providing essential technical support to our customers.
* You will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing complex mechanical and hydraulic components.
Required Skills and Qualifications
* A minimum Certificate III in Mobile Plant Technology or an equivalent discipline is required.
* Commercial Vehicle trades will also be considered.
* Prior experience with assembly, overhaul, repair, and servicing of mechanical and hydraulic components on construction and/or mining equipment is essential.
* Ability to work autonomously and proactively solve technical issues is crucial.
* Excellent interpersonal, communication skills, and customer service etiquette are necessary.
