About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist with a background in forensic and/or mental health settings to join our Sydney team in the New Year. You will provide functional assessments, therapeutic intervention, and rehabilitation support to NDIS participants with complex psychosocial needs.
Working across the Eastern Suburbs and Inner West, you'll enjoy autonomy, flexibility, and a supportive clinical framework.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver evidence-based OT services within forensic, mental health, and complex psychosocial contexts
* Complete functional capacity assessments, sensory profiles, ADL assessments, and behavioural/environmental recommendations
* Provide ongoing therapeutic intervention focused on recovery, independence, and community participation
* Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure holistic, person-centred care
* Maintain timely documentation, reports, and NDIS-required compliance
* Engage with stakeholders including carers, support coordinators, legal/justice agencies, and clinical teams
About You
* AHPRA registration as an Occupational Therapist
* Experience in forensic, justice, or mental health service settings (community or inpatient)
* Strong understanding of psychosocial disability, risk management, and complex behaviours
* Confident with assessments, report writing, and evidence-based intervention
* Valid driver's licence and access to a reliable vehicle
* Passionate about empowering people to build capacity, independence, and wellbeing
