Are you a driven and ambitious sales professional with a passion for sustainability, technology, and innovation?
Blue IoT is seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Business Development Manager to drive growth across the ESG, energy efficiency, and indoor environmental quality sectors. Leveraging our award-winning Encompass Blue smart building platform, built on AWS, you will play a pivotal role in expanding our customer base, forging strategic relationships, and promoting solutions that deliver exceptional environmental and financial outcomes. Are you a risk taker and willing to start on a commission only basis leading into higher than market salary and commission for the right person?
This is a rare opportunity to not only earn uncapped income but to build a future leadership role—potentially developing and managing an entire sales team as the business scales globally.
Key Responsibilities
·Leverage your existing network to generate new leads, partnerships and opportunities from day one
·Develop and execute growth strategies focused on financial performance and customer value
·Manage the full sales cycle: from lead generation and meetings to proposal development and closing deals
·Promote Blue IoT's market-leading products and services, particularly in indoor air quality, energy baselining and optimisation, and ESG compliance
·Build and maintain long-term relationships with clients and key stakeholders
·Provide post-sales support and act as a trusted advisor to clients
·Collaborate with internal technical, marketing, and delivery teams to ensure client satisfaction
Required Skills & Experience
·Proven success in business development, sales, or a similar client-facing role
·A track record of exceeding targets and closing deals
·Strong network and industry knowledge within ESG, energy management, property technology, or health and wellbeing sectors
·Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
·Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM platforms (e.g. Monday.com or similar)
·Strong time management and strategic planning abilities
·Confidence and credibility when engaging with senior stakeholders
·A genuine passion for sustainability and smart building technologies
