About the opportunity
The Senior Electrical Engineer is primarily responsible for managing the engineering team in the delivery of Embedded Generation and/or Distributed Energy Resource (DER) projects for commercial customers. The role is expected to develop and design complex PV and BESS system operating concepts, electrical and communication requirements, including but not limited to Embedded Networks and Ancillary Market Service systems.
The role shall actively engage with the Head of Department, Commercial Sales and Business Development teams on RFPs, Tender and Commercial project opportunities. Other tasks include preparation and review of Electrical and system design drawings for DNSP requirements, installation teams and sub-contractors. The role will also include the creation of templates, processes, project plans and utilisation of different software to streamline and improve project processes.

Qualifications & Experience
* Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
* Experience in the Solar Industry of more than 5 years.
* Proficiency in using project management software and Microsoft Excel.
* Competent with AutoCad, SketchUp and/or PowerCad.
* Competent with PV Syst, Helioscope etc.
* CEC Accredited Designer preferred.
* Strong, In-depth understanding of AS electrical and Solar PV installation standards (AS3000, 3008, 4777.1, 5033)s.
* In-depth Technical and commercial, knowledge and understanding of a wide-array of PV systems and their market applications.
* Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.

* Successful appointment to this position will require a police check.
* Valid Passport/Working rights in Australia.
* Ability to travel as required.
