Overview
Please note this position is also being advertised as a Clinical Nurse Specialist - CAMHS d) and only one position will be filled on merit.
The Team
Community CYMHS Northwest are a multidisciplinary team delivering high quality mental health services, including assessment and treatment planning for children and young people in the Northwest region of Tasmania. The team also provides a community leadership role in this space, working closely with partners such as the Northwest Regional Hospital, education, child safety services, youth justice, NDIS, police, education and numerous community-based NGO organisations. Based in a rural remote region, the CYMHS team has opportunities to work across a diverse range of circumstances and use creative approaches to deliver excellence in mental health care to our consumers, their families and communities.
You will need
Work as part of a multidisciplinary team delivering high quality mental health services in accordance with the Mental Health Services Strategic Plan, Mental Health Services Principles, National Mental Health Standards, Agency policy, legal requirements and relevant professional competencies. As a CYMHS clinician you will:
Undertake assessments, care planning and delivery of individual and group secondary level mental health interventions to children and families, including culturally appropriate services.
Develop and support collaborative care partnerships with service providers including across primary health, child health and parenting, paediatrics, child safety, education, and child and young person based programs and services.
Collect and review client and service outcome data and participate in activities to improve client outcomes.
Contribute to continuing quality and safety, service development and improvement, and professional development processes and standards.

Details of appointment
Permanent full time, day worker position, 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible. Notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant. Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar vacancies.
Salary
$110,425 to $121,907 per annum. Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
Salary range is in accordance with Allied Health Professionals Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement No. 2 of 2022.
Salary Packaging
You'll have access to salary packaging for a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year, plus other benefits if eligible.
Allowances
Access to salaries beyond $119,290 is subject to qualifications and/or application to the personal upgrade scheme. Available allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may include:
Professional Development Allowance of up to $1,000 per annum
Benefits available to eligible candidates
Travel and relocation assistance may be available up to $15,000 for eligible appointees from overseas, and up to $10,000 for appointees from interstate.

A range of leave entitlements, including study leave and Career development Support.
Fitness Passport – access to 40+ fitness facilities across Tasmania for just $13.95 per week per person, or $25.95 for a family.
Eligibility
Successful applicants will be required to meet the essential criteria.
Satisfactory completion of an approved allied health professional tertiary qualification/program and registration with the relevant National Board or, for self-regulated allied health professions, full membership/eligible for membership with the relevant professional association.
Current Working with Children Registration (where applicable per position).
Current Driver's Licence.
Desirable criteria: a minimum of 2 years post graduate experience in an area relevant to the role; postgraduate qualification or work towards a postgraduate qualification relevant to the role.
