Tourism Noosa is seeking an experienced Chief Financial Officer / Company Secretary to join their Executive Management Team.
About the Role
Reporting directly to the CEO, the CFO / Company Secretary plays a pivotal role in the organisation's executive leadership, financial stewardship and governance framework.
This is a highly autonomous, hands-on role responsible for overseeing financial management, statutory compliance, risk management and company secretariat functions, while providing trusted financial advice to the CEO, Board and Committees.
Key Responsibilities
* Oversight of all financial operations including accounting, payroll, treasury, audits and reporting
* Preparation of monthly financial reports, annual budgets, quarterly forecasts and Board papers
* Statutory compliance including ASIC, ATO, BAS, PAYG, payroll tax and superannuation obligations
* Acting as Company Secretary and Public Officer, including governance compliance and Board support
* Oversight of risk management frameworks, insurance, cyber security (financial systems) and internal controls
* Financial leadership across the organisation, supporting leaders to manage budgets effectively
About You
You are a strategic yet hands-on finance professional with strong governance capability and the confidence to operate at executive and Board level.
You will bring:
* CPA or CA qualification (essential)
* Proven experience in senior financial leadership, ideally within not-for-profit, membership-based or complex organisations
* Strong understanding of corporate governance, statutory compliance and risk management
* Excellent analytical, communication and stakeholder engagement skills
Membership of AICD or Governance Institute of Australia will be highly regarded.
