Compensation Lawyer Role
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Compensation Lawyer to join our dynamic team. As a key member of our compensation law division, you will be responsible for handling cases independently under supervision, conducting client conferences and providing expert advice.
* Main Responsibilities:
* Handling cases independently under supervision
* Conducting client conferences and providing advice
* Requesting reviews and preparing matters for hearing
* Attending PIC telephone conferences and conciliations/arbitrations
* Maintaining high levels of communication with clients, colleagues, and other stakeholders
* Training and supervising paralegals and legal assistants
* Assisting senior lawyers/associates with case preparation
Requirements:
* Essential Skills and Qualifications:
* Bachelor of Laws or equivalent and a current NSW practicing certificate
* 3-5 years plus PAE in Personal Injury or Workers Compensation law preferably
* Exceptional research, analytical and problem-solving skills
* Demonstrated ability at understanding and managing the details to deliver commercially viable, accessible and legally sound solutions
* Demonstrated skills in influencing and persuading effectively always in the best interests of the client and organisation
* Proven planning and time management skills with the ability to manage workflow and priorities to meet deadlines
* Bi-lingual language skills highly regarded
